Help support the ADK teachers sorority’s takeout dinner fundraiser for area scholarships from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 23 at the Rustic Diner in Barnum. Dinner includes barbecued pork, chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, applesauce and a roll for $13. Only 100 meals will be made and often sell out, so get there as close to 5 p.m. as you can. The scholarships are given to seniors at Barnum, Moose Lake, Cromwell-Wright and Willow River schools.

I have had several requests for the YOT Senior Dances to resume, but Cromwell mayor Sharon Zelazny informed me that the city cannot allow dances at the Pavilion just yet. There is still no dancing allowed, and we need to follow those guidelines. It sounds like they are allowing prom, so I think we’ll be seeing some changes in the current guidelines, but nothing has changed about dances as of yet.

Beanie Randa, manager of the Clothing Depot in Cromwell, has informed me that they can no longer take pickup loads of donations at this time. Their warehouse room is pretty full, but you can donate a limited number of bags or boxes of stuff between 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Thanks for your cooperation!
