CMH Wound Clinic wins award

For the third year in a row, the Advanced Wound Clinic at Community Memorial Hospital was awarded the Center of Distinction award by Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The Advanced Wound Clinic achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent and a minimum wound-healing rate of at least 92 percent within 28 median days to heal. There were 555 centers eligible for the Center of Distinction award and 278 achieved the honor.

“We are fortunate to have an advanced wound care facility that helps people in our community and the surrounding areas heal from chronic wounds. Patients are able to stay close to home while receiving state-of-the-art care,” said Betsy Johnson, RN, and clinical program director at the Advanced Wound Clinic. “Even with the challenges of 2020, the staff here at the Advanced Wound Clinic has worked above and beyond to ensure we are providing the highest quality of care to our patients.”
