Bonnie J. Carter, 75, of Cloquet passed away May 13, 2021, at Sunnyside Health Care Center.
She was born May 11, 1946, in Cloquet, the daughter of Douglas and Lorraine (Proulx) Carter. Bonnie graduated from Cloquet High School and worked as a certified nursing assistant for the Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital, Nopeming Nursing Home, and Essentia Health. Her passions included sewing, knitting, and camping with all the grandchildren in Minnesota. She moved to Arizona in 2006 where she found a new joy watching rodeos with the love of her life, Larry Campbell. Bonnie and Larry had a loving relationship in their early adulthood and then rekindled later in life. "I loved you then, I loved you still, I always have, I always will."
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Frank and John Carter, and her life partner, Larry Campbell.
She is survived by her three sons, Mike (Becky) Weaver, Dave Weaver and Jim Weaver; grandchildren, Kendra, Miranda, Kristy, Kimi, Michael, Brandon and Sami; great-granddaughter, Viktorea; two brothers, Douglas (Pam) Carter and Michael (Karen) Carter.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at Sunnyside Health Care and St. Croix Hospice for taking such good care of Bonnie in her last remaining months.
Visitation:10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Wednesday, May 26 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. Inurnment will be at New Calvary Cemetery, followed by a luncheon in the fellowship room. See the family online guestbook at http://www.nelsonfuneralcare.net.
