The Moose Lake Golf Club is celebrating its 92nd season in 2021. Pro/manager Josh Gamst is now in his 14th season.
"Our grills are cooking and our decks and dining room are now open (per guidelines) to serve our hungry and thirsty golfing guests," he said. "The course is greening up fast and getting into spectacular shape."
Food specials this summer include Taco Night on Wednesdays and Hamburger Night on Saturdays, both 4-8 p.m.
The club's big June fundraiser, Shoot the Moose, is scheduled for this weekend. The 66th annual Moose Lake Shortstop is scheduled for August 13-15.
Additionally, the Moose Lake Club has several golf scrambles planned for later this summer plus the 9-9-9 event in September: a two-person team event with 9 holes of best ball, 9 of alternate shot, and 9 of scramble ... all in one day.
The entire nine holes are challenging and each has its own unique characteristics. Hole No. 9 was featured in "Minnesota Golfer" magazine. It is a 178-225 yard par-3 with a tiered green.
