John Patrick Connor, 47, of Barnum passed away on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, in his home. He was born March 30, 1974, in Cloquet to John and MaryAnn (Fisher) Connor. John grew up in Blackhoof Township and graduated from Carlton High School in 1992.
He was a manager at McDonald Rental for several years before going to work at Randall Bros. Heating and Cooling in 1998. In August of 2020 John had a tragic accident and was unable to return to work.
On May 19, 2001 he married Lynnette Mallon in Cloquet. The two were high school sweethearts and had been together for more than 30 years. John enjoyed four- wheeling, fixing things, target shooting with his sons, and camping with his family. He loved his 1971 Olds Cutlass hot rod.
John was the type of person who always made himself available to help anyone who needed help. He had a heart of gold. He also loved his dogs, Macy and Bear.
John was preceded in death by his mother, MaryAnn Connor.
He is survived and will be sadly missed by his best friend and soulmate, Lynnette; two sons that he was very proud of, John and James; his father, John; brother, Chad; sisters, Michelle (Allen) Fetters and Laurie (Dennis) Meyer; one niece, Cassie (Marty Wiedendorf) Fetters; and two nephews, Jaret (Mara) Gladder and family, and Corey (Carmie Nelson) Fetters.
