Logan Orvedahl led the Rebels with 187 yards on the ground and a touchdown as well as an interception in the waning moments of the game. Orvedahl also returned a kickoff 88 yards for a score.

Cromwell- Wright- 13

With two minutes remaining, the Cards had a goal- line stand and then went 99 yards in just over a minute to tie the game and then won the game on the extra- point kick. Dylan Nyberg passed for 168 yards and scored the game- tying 18-yard touchdown run. Zevvus Smith had 13 tackles, 57 yards rush and scored the other TD.

Two Harbors- 53

Barnum- 20

The Bombers faced a tough Two Harbors team in the first game of the season for Barnum.

For the Bombers:

Willie Richardson had six carries for 44 yards, four catches for 91 yards and a touchdown, plus four kick returns for 82 yards, a total of 217 yards. Richardson also had four tackles and a pass breakup defensively. Hayden Charboneau completed six out of 11 passes for 112 yards, two TDs and one interception. Carlos Beckstrand had three carries for 42 yards and a TD. JJ Stevens had one TD reception. Joe Peterson had two catches for 24 yards. Devon Jones had eight tackles and a fumble recovery. Caden Sheff had seven tackles and a forced fumble. Layne Wickstrom and Max Moors had six and four tackles, respectively.

South Ridge- 20

The Panthers opened the season with a tough loss to Bigfork. Big plays, turnovers and penalties proved to be too much to overcome in the season opener for both clubs.

Ely- 26

Carlton/Wrenshall- 6

The Raptors struggled to find offense against the Timberwolves in Ely on Friday night. Carlton/Wrenshall will return home to host McGregor this Friday in hopes of finding their first win over the season.
