Eunice Mae Hulda (Westlund) Siiter, 90, peacefully passed away at her home Aug. 17, 2021. Her children were by her side, just as she wanted.
Born and raised in Cloquet, she married her high school sweetheart, Don Siiter. Together they shared a loving 67 years of marriage.
After graduating nursing school in Duluth, her career advanced to hospital administration, then to consulting in the state of California. After 64 years of hard work, she retired in 2016.
Eunice dearly loved her parents, Charles and Amy Westlund, her life growing up on Laurel Street, and the many happy times they shared together at the cabin on Little Grand Lake.
From Cloquet to Michigan, the Twin Cities area, and finally southern California, Eunice took pride in making each home, as she would say, "Just So" by displaying her collection of the many family treasures passed down through the generations. The collection lives on through her children.
Eunice is survived by her son, Tom Siiter; daughter, Dr. Lynn Shaw, and son-in-law, Ken Shaw; and nephews and nieces, Gary Beckrich, Stewart Beckrich, Shawn Beckrich, and Barb Gkjorstad, Curt Westlund, Fred Westlund, Ted Westlund and Susie Patchel.
Memorial services are planned for November at Messiah Lutheran Church in Yorba Linda, California, and late spring of 2022 at Little Grand Lake in Saginaw.
