After holding the event virtually last year, the popular Pumpkin 5K Run & Walk starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College.
Certified and validated by USA Track and Field, the 5K race is just as much about the costumes as it is the running, so participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes or orange clothing. Prizes will be given for the best costumes. The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. No strollers, roller skates, skateboards, baby joggers, bicycles or pets are allowed on the race course.
Register online at https://www.tempotickets.com/event/wctnj or in person Saturday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. A printable registration form is also available at fdltcc.edu. The entry fee is $20.
“We’re excited to welcome runners, walkers, people in costumes, students, area residents, and people from around the region to experience this wonderful run on our campus,” said Taylor Warnes, FDLTCC marketing director and the new race director of the Pumpkin Run.
