Wright/Cromwell news

Last week I won a Jennie-O turkey at the Village Pump Saloon in Tamarack. The turkeys needed to be picked up at the Farmers Co-op in Wright, so when I left the co-op board meeting, I grabbed the turkey and threw it on the front seat of my little Chevy Spark and headed home. It didn’t take long before the passenger side seat belt alarm went off, and it wouldn’t stop. Well, I wasn’t going to stop to belt in the turkey, so just had to deal with the beep, beep, beep until I got home, which was only 5 miles. After all that beeping I felt like I was the turkey. Anyway, I was thankful and I thank Minette for participating in this annual business raffle giveaway sponsored by the Voyageur Press each year.

The community tree lighting ceremony and hayride at Bethlehem in Wright was well-attended. The Christmas tree looks great, thanks to the Extreme Team and Lake Country Power for helping string the lights clear to the top of the huge tree in the Bethlehem churchyard. Try to drive by when you can, as it will be lit every evening until after Christmas.
