Nancy L. Mrosla, 67, of Carlton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. She was born July 26, 1954, in Gilbert, the daughter of Peter and Siiri (Nevalainen) Nissinen.
Nancy graduated from Gilbert High School and later worked as a dental hygienist. She was married to Duane Mrosla on March 4, 1988, in Carlton. Nancy was a very active member of Journey Christian Church in Cloquet, the quilting club, bible study groups, and volunteering.
She was a pet lover and enjoyed visiting her children. Nancy especially loved her grandchildren and spending time with them and going to the park.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul Mrosla; and siblings, Christine Kuitunen, Kenneth Nissinen, Carol Anderson, and Patricia Kuitunen.
She is survived by her loving husband, Duane Mrosla; stepson, Jeff (Shelley) Mrosla; stepdaughter, Jill (Larry) Loonsfoot; brother, Robin Nissinen; grandchildren, Landon, Kynlee, Ellianna, and Bennet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
An 11 a.m. service was scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 23 at Journey Christian Church, followed by a luncheon in the church social hall. An interment service will be at Hillside Cemetery in Carlton. Arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet.
