The Father-Daughter dance is back. This year’s dance is 5:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Cromwell Park Pavilion. Tickets: $20 per couple, $5 for each additional girl, in advance; at the door: $25 and $5 for each additional girl. Price includes music, dancing and snacks. The dance is sponsored by Cromwell Area Community Club. Volunteers are needed, and high school girls willing to help with music would be greatly appreciated.

Cross country skiing and snowshoeing sponsored by the Cromwell Area Community Club is Sunday, Jan. 23, starting at

1 p.m., at 885 State Forest Road in Cromwell. Bring your own skis or snowshoes, and a chair for sitting around a bonfire. Coffee, hot chocolate and cookies provided. The first YOT Senior dance of the year will be held 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 at the Cromwell Pavilion, with music by Two for the Road. Potluck lunch at 2:30.

Congratulations to our 2022 homecoming court queen candidates, Rylie Dobosenski, NataLee Hakamaki, Scarlett Korpela, Andrea Pocernich and Chandell Warner; candidates for king, Jacob Anderson, Nathan Eliason, Jay Olesiak, Ethan Shelton and Zevvus Smith; crown bearers, Malin Borglund and Eli Olson; and flower girl, Ryder Lind. Homecoming will be held 8 p.m. Jan. 28 in the auditorium

A special Valentine’s dinner sponsored by the Extreme Team will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 12 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell. The menu includes soup or salad, baked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, dinner roll and dessert. The evening will include entertainment. Our sympathies to the family of Mary J. Ward, 85, of Cromwell and formerly of Carlton, who passed away Jan. 10.
