Next week, the County Seat Theater Company will present an old-fashioned melodrama, "The Villain Wore A Dirty Shirt, or, Always Wash Your Long Johns 'Cause It Makes a Lotta Cents."
It's a boo-hiss villain tale around laundry in a mining town in frontier days.
"This show is filled with fun characters," said director Joel Soukkala. "It is so fun to get a group of actors together of all ages and just play."
The cast of 15 performers features a number of young actors.
"It's a good old-fashioned melodrama that will have audiences of young and old laughing throughout the entire production," Soukkala said.
Performances are at 7 p.m. Feb. 11-12 and Feb. 17-18. There will be 2 p.m. shows on Feb. 13 and Feb. 19-20 at the Encore Performing Arts Center in Cloquet. On-demand performances will be available for online viewing Feb. 18-20.
Tickets for live or virtual performances can be reserved by calling the box office at 218-878-0071 or online at countyseattheater.com. Masks are required inside the theater.
