Eleanore J. Huisinger, 89, of Cloquet, passed away Feb. 2, 2022, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. She was born June 20, 1932, in Gary, South Dakota, the daughter of Nels and Anna (Hanson) Engeseth. Eleanore graduated from Gary High School and worked at her parents' café and at the South Dakota School for the Blind.
She married William Huisinger on June 22, 1950, during Buckaroo Days. They moved to Cloquet. Eleanore was employed at Diamond Brands, and the Carlton nursing home, from which she retired. She loved to read and doing puzzles and crosswords. Eleanore was a kindhearted person who was very influenced by her faith.
Eleanore was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; one son, Brian Huisinger; and a brother, Arlan Engeseth. She is survived by her daughters, Julie (Milt) Zezulka, Kathy (Jack) Hankey, and Susanne (Mark) Bauer; and 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service Saturday, May 28 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow. Inurnment will be at the Perch Lake Cemetery following the luncheon.
