There is a blood drive at the school in Cromwell today, Feb. 18. It runs from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Call Trudy at 218-740-1542 to register, or the school nurse at 218-644-3716, ext. 4138.

The Villa Vista/Cardinal Court will be having a memorial service on Feb. 21 at 1:30 p.m. to honor all residents who passed away in 2021. Fully vaccinated folks are welcome to attend.

Our sympathies to the family of Evelyn V. Nordlund, 90, formerly of Kettle River and Moose Lake, who passed away Jan. 21 at Villa Vista Cromwell.

Our sympathies to the family of Beatrice Heikkila, 90, of Cromwell, who passed away Feb. 5 in her apartment at Cardinal Court, with family by her side.

The next YOT Senior dance will be held at the Pavilion on Thursday, Feb. 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. All ages are welcome, and music will be provided by Two for the Road.

The Cromwell-Wright board of directors will hold a facility meeting at 6 p.m. on Feb. 24 to discuss potential building improvements. Residents will be receiving a survey to assess needs. The meeting will be held to answer questions, hear ideas, and get to know community members.

And don’t forget that the Cromwell City Council meets at 6 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.

Folks may have received a 2-quart jug of Starbucks frappuccino coffee-flavored syrup from Ruby’s Pantry last week. It doesn’t taste like coffee to some folks, but it makes the best pancake syrup. Try it.
