Pauline Rae Laine, 75, of Cloquet passed away Feb. 20, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. She was born Sept. 24, 1946, in Cloquet to Clifford and Eleanor (Mattila) Maki.
Pauline married Arthur Laine on June 28, 1969, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cloquet. She worked for the Human Development Center in Duluth as a transcriber. Pauline loved going to the casino for entertainment. She enjoyed knitting, crafts, old movies, reading and putting together puzzles. She also loved to fish when she was able. Pauline will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; son Shane; brother, Ronnie Maki; aunt, Mabel Halvorson; and uncle, Edwin Mattila. Pauline is survived by her husband, Arthur; daughter, Misty Laine; son Troy (Amy) Laine; grandson, Dallas Laine; great-grandchild, Easton (Cydney Schnorr) Laine; cousins, Gary Halvorson and Kathy Hacker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will have a celebration of life at a later date. Nelson Funeral Care assisted the family with final arrangements.
