Obituary: Luella Corrine (Janson) Linden

Luella Corrine (Janson) Linden, 88, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, in Cardinal Courts Senior Living in Cromwell.

Luella was born March 27, 1933, in Sugar Bush Township to John and Dagmar Janson. She graduated from the Waubun high school 1951. Following graduation, she was united in marriage to Peter Linden on June 16, 1951. Together they raised five children. Peter and Luella farmed in Rochert. Luella enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, and rug making. After selling the farm, they enjoyed traveling on many road trips and adventures with her sister Eleanor and brother-in-law Cliff.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Alma (Clarence) Johnson, Linda (Elmer) Seppanen, Elsie (John) Bakken, Edna (Chris) Tuominen and Eleanor (Cliff) Junes; brothers Arvid (Martha) Janson, Leonard Janson, Elmer Janson and Edwin Janson; grandson, Troy Linden; great-grandson, Nolan Caya; and special cousins, Delores (Elmer) Hokkanen and Kay (Fudd) Mattson.

She will be missed by her husband of 70 years, Peter; her children, Irene (Bob) Johnson of Cloquet, Keith (MerryLee) Linden of Rochert, Gayle (Dan) Heikkila of Wright, Tim (Carol) Linden of Cloquet, and Todd (Lisa) Linden of Rochert; brothers Donald (Gerry) Janson and Raymond (Gloria) Janson; sisters-in-law, Beatrice Janson and Greta Junes-Janson; 14 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, friends and a host of brothers and sisters in faith.

Our family will forever be grateful for the friends and staff at Cardinal Courts for caring for our mother and loving her like she was their own special grandma. We would also like to acknowledge the kind and compassionate care provided by St. Croix Hospice. Thank you for guiding and helping us make our mom’s last month comfortable. Your attentiveness and consideration will never be forgotten. The Cromwell community is fortunate to have this outstanding facility.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 21 in Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet. Visitation will continue at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, March 22 in Eagle Lake Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church, Cromwell.
