The Cromwell Area Community Club’s roadside cleanup has been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7. The cleanup covers a one-mile stretch of Minnesota Highway 210 west of Cromwell on both sides of the highway. This event is a wonderful way to clean up our area and is part of our efforts in the Adopt-A-Highway program. A light lunch will follow.

The Forest Hill Cemetery cleanup is planned for May 7, beginning at 9 a.m. If we get done early enough, we can join the CACC cleanup at 10:30.

Wright Public Cemetery will hold its cleanup starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 7.

The Women of Bethlehem Lutheran in Wright will be holding their annual mother-daughter tea and luncheon at Bethlehem Lutheran 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at the church. This year’s guest speaker is retired Air National Guard Col. Penny Dieryck, former 148th Fighter Wing Mission Support Group commander.

Yoga at the Cromwell pavilion is on most Mondays at 11 a.m., with $3 per person covering city rental. Gear provided. questions, call Ann Markusen at 218-428-3300.

The Arrowhead Bookmobile will be in the vicinity of the post office in Wright 1-1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 and June 14.

The senior awards banquet is Monday, May 9 at 5:30. Presentations begin at 6:15. All seniors attending need to sign up with the number of guests (those who are not seniors of the graduating class of 2022 and who are dining). There is a charge of $5 per guest; checks can be made out to CWS. Contact Counselor Brekke via email [email protected] or phone 218-644-3737, extension 2146 to sign up.

Little League will have their first practice 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 8 at the Wright ballfield.

The junior class is collecting prizes for the post-prom party. If you would like to provide an item for the drawing that will be held for all attendees, please drop off your donation at the office by Wednesday, May 11. Suggested items include snack baskets, gift cards, water bottles, insulated tumblers, movie baskets, anything that can be for a high school boy or girl.

Tune your radios to WKLK FM (96.5) to listen to Cromwell-Wright seniors Ethan Shelton and Nathan Eliason on the air 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 12.

The spring parent meeting is 8:15-8:45 a.m. Thursday, May 12 in the Cromwell-Wright school library. Principal Libbon will present the latest information on Title 1 and our parent involvement plan for grades 1-6. Please bring your thoughts and ideas to the meeting, and take the opportunity to ask questions or voice concerns. Juice and muffins will be provided. Everyone is welcome.

A Cinco de Mayo celebration was scheduled to start at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 5 at the Cromwell Park Pavilion.

The Cromwell Forest Hill Cemetery Association will have its annual meeting on May 10 at the Cromwell Sno-Gophers Club building. A potluck supper begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 6:30.
