A hometown newspaper with a local office, local owners & lots of local news
It must be spring, because I just picked off my first wood tick on Sunday. And I have good news: My husband, Bob, will be coming home this week after spending 52 days in the hospital and then in rehabilitation in Duluth. Ironically, we will celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary on May 30. It surely will be good to have him back home again. He thanks everyone for your cards of encouragement.
Our sincere sympathies to the family of Marion Patricia (Isaacks) Larsen, who passed away peacefully May 6, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. Marion grew up in Independence, Missouri, a block away from long-time family friends President Harry and First Lady Bess Truman. Marian and her husband of almost 62 years, Sheldon, who survives her, moved to Wright in 2002. Visitation starts at noon for the 1 p.m. memorial service May 31 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wright.

Speaking of the Floodwood school, there are seven composite senior class pictures missing from the walls of the school because they weren’t taken in the first place. If you are a 1993, 1997, 2002, 2015, 2017, 2019 or 2020 graduate, maybe you can get together with classmates and complete your composite, so the history of your school is complete. Photos can even be taken from your yearbooks if nothing else works.
