Obituary: Mark Allen Wysocki

Mark Wysocki, 64, of Grand Forks, North Dakota passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at his home after a short, courageous battle with cancer.

Mark Allen Wysocki was born Sept. 28, 1957 in Grand Forks to Cyril and Clara (Lizakowski) Wysocki. He grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School in 1975. Mark worked at Crystal Sugar before starting a 43-year career in mechanical maintenance at the Columbia Mall, where he loved putting up the Christmas décor. Mark enjoyed fishing on the Red River when he was young, and more recently at Lake of the Woods. He enjoyed grocery shopping, made excellent beef jerky, was an avid sports fan — especially of the Twins and Vikings — and enjoyed regular travel to Florida, Las Vegas and Medora. His favorite thing was being at home, where he always decorated for the holidays, adding more every year.

Mark leaves behind his loving wife LeeAnn Grundahl Wysocki, mother Clara, daughters Toni (Randy) Bosma and Rachel (John) Lawrence, all of Grand Forks; stepsons Jason Grundahl of Grand Forks and Eric Grundahl (Taniele Thompson) of Oak Island; grandchildren Emma, Allie, Ashley, Madelynn, Skylar and Alexandra; sisters Mary (Ron) Swangler of Phoenix and Maureen (Jerry) Harmon of Grand Forks; father- and mother-in-law Warner and Janet Bodin, and brother-in-law Rick Weiler, all of Cloquet; and many extended family members, including beloved dog Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cyril Wysocki, and sister-in-law Julie Weiler.

Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Friday, June 10 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, Minnesota. A graveside service will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery in Grand Forks, North Dakota. To sign the online guestbook, visit http://www.dandahlfuneralhome.com.
