Obituary: Jeffrey Mark Lopeman

On Saturday, June 4, 2022, Jeffrey Mark Lopeman, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 66. Jeff was born Oct. 20, 1955, in Peoria, Illinois to Clifford and Virgina Lopeman. He grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from Mid-County High School in 1974. On Feb. 22, 1975, he married Linda Wolske, and they raised four daughters, Nikkia, Kayla, Chesney and Paige. Jeff and Linda moved to Minnesota in 1977. He started his 40-year career at Asplundh Tree Expert Company, working his way up to general foreman and retiring in 2016. Jeff was also a proud fireman for 28 years. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and four-wheeling with his wife, daughters and grandsons. He enjoyed working in the garage and always helping others. With Jeff’s infectious smile, blue eyes and wise words, he will never be forgotten.

Jeff was preceded in death by both parents, Clifford and Virginia, and infant sister, Marsha Lopeman. He is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughters, Nikkia, Kayla (Chad) Lane, Chesney (Rick) Kesty and Paige; his four grandsons, Dawson, Gaven, Aiden and Alec; and siblings Sandy, Karol, Phyliss, Donna, Marty, Tim, Danny, Gary, Merna and Gloria; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, June 17 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Moose Lake. A celebration of life will follow at 4 p.m. at 3248 Thompson Road in Mahtowa. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service serving Northern Minnesota.
