Head west for Wrong Days fun

At 57 years straight - or is it crooked? - the Wrong Days in Wright celebration is one of the longest running community events in the area. The small town celebration in western Carlton County didn't even pause during the first year of the pandemic, and it's still going strong.

Longtime Wrong Days volunteer Jennie Hanson said it's a special time for the local community, population 136.

"It's the one time every year that people get together," she said. "Past and present residents come from miles around, there are class reunions. It's just a wonderful community gathering."

Wrong Days buttons are still for sale at $1 each, and $2 raffle tickets are for sale by committee and at area businesses. Hanson pointed out, however, that Wrong Days is not just a fundraiser for the event: local businesses benefit, as do the churches and other groups that sell raffle tickets, pies and more.

One certainly doesn't have to live in Wright to enjoy the festivities. Find the full schedule of events below and for more information on the weekend events, call Linda Kalli at 218-380-8987.
