Teenager dies from alleged overdose

Cloquet police and emergency personnel responded to a report of “an apparent drug overdose” Wednesday, July 27, at a residence on Loop Drive within the boundaries of the city and Fond du Lac Reservation, according to a news release from the Cloquet Police Department issued Wednesday afternoon. Efforts to revive the 16-year-old male were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of death is not known at this time. The investigation is still open.
