Lola Hope (Luoma) Hendrickson, 76, of Cloquet and formerly of Virginia, Minnesota, was called home to heaven on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, with her two children at her side. She was born July 15, 1946, to Toivo and Taina Luoma from Mt. Iron. Lola graduated from Mt. Iron-Buhl Public School in 1964.
Lola was united in marriage to the love of her life, Terry Hendrickson, in 1968. They were married for six short years before her husband died in a car accident. During those six years, they had two children. Being a mother was all she ever wanted in life, and she treasured every minute. One of her biggest joys was finding out she was going to be a grandma. She was blessed with four wonderful grandkids. Living next door to them, she was a huge part of their life growing up and she cherished every moment with them. Her faith in God was strong. She spent countless hours reading the bible and watching religious programs. She always made it a point to share how important it is to have Jesus in your life.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Russell Knuti, Paul "Pauly" Borgman, Donna Day. She will be terribly missed by her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Cory Hendrickson, of Cottonwood; her daughter, Dena (Nicholas) Waldbillig, of Cloquet; and her grandchildren, Jairet, Jessica, Ashlee, and Owen; siblings, Larry (Karen) Luoma, Debi (Tom) Pender; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no service. To leave an online family condolence, visit http://www.nelsonfuneralcare.net.
