After losing my husband of 52 years on Oct. 1, I had to postpone his memorial service since I got Covid-19. Sometimes I wonder, “What else can happen?” But, as my mother always said, “This, too, shall pass!”
So, with that in mind, Bob’s service has been rescheduled for visitation 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, which will continue from noon until the 1 p.m. service Saturday, Oct. 22, all at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wright. My sincere thanks to everyone who has sent cards, flowers and food. We are grateful for all these remembrances. May Bob rest in peace knowing there are so many caring folks in our lives.
Yoga at the Cromwell Pavilion is 11 a.m. to noon Mondays and is $3 per person to cover city rental. Gear provided.
The Tamarack Presbyterian Church in Tamarack is holding its spaghetti supper 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15. Served with salads and desserts, too. It’s $10 for adults 13 years and up, $3 for 6-12 years, and free for age 5 and under.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Cromwell firehall. It’s a good time to dispose of your unused prescription drugs safely.
The last Young Old Timers senior dance for the year will be 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Cromwell Pavilion with music by Jerry’s One Man Band.
