Steven John Anderson, 70, of Esko died of cancer on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, at Miller Dwan in Duluth.
Steve was born on Nov. 16, 1951, in Robbinsdale to Helen E. and John C. Anderson. He graduated from West St. Paul High School in 1969 and then attended the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he met his first wife, Kathy Zawacki, and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in 1974. In 1979 they moved to Esko, where they built a home and raised their son Nathan.
Steve worked for Andersen Windows and the Otis-Magie Insurance Agency prior to owning and operating the Anderson Insurance Agency.
He enjoyed watching sports and all aspects of the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
On May 1, 2018, he married Barb McIsaac. Time with Barb and his family was very important to Steve. He loved to travel, especially to the Florida coast, and would return there every year with Barb.
Steve was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy, in 2001, and his parents.
Steve is survived by his wife Barb; his son Nathan (Heidi) Anderson; stepsons Aaron (Darci) McIsaac and Kevin (Hana) McIsaac; sister-in-law Mary Ann Tast; and grandchildren Ella, Ava and Eli Anderson and Avery McIsaac.
His smiling face and easygoing nature will be dearly missed by family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Scanlon
