A hometown newspaper with a local office, local owners & lots of local news
I am writing to urge my fellow neighbors to support my son, Jeff Dotseth, in his quest to be our next representative in District 11A. When Jeff decided to run for office, he warned me that people who supported his opponent would say things that I should just let slide because that is, unfortunately, how politics works.
Last week, the Pine Knot News published a letter that really ticked me off. It suggested that my son did not have strong ties to the Kettle River area. That is just not true. Dotseths have lived at his current Kettle River location since the late 1950s, and Jeff has lived at, worked and owned his grandfather’s farm since he bought it in 1999.
My son will not be happy with me when he sees this letter, but I am not going to just sit back and have a supporter of his opponent take a cheap shot at my son’s expense. I will be voting for Jeff Dotseth for District 11A. Do your research and check out what Jeff stands for at this website, dotsethmn.com. Jeff will be a voice for everyone in District 11A, not just those who agree with him. Vote with the facts and you will vote for Jeff. I know you will make the right choice.
Betty Dotseth, Kettle River
