A hometown newspaper with a local office, local owners & lots of local news
I’m writing in support of Pete Radosevich for state representative in Minnesota House District 11A. In deciding to support him I did two things.
First, I talked to Pete and asked questions. What stood out most was that he promises to represent all the people in the district. He didn’t promise what he couldn’t deliver. He might sometimes have to compromise in order to find a solution to an issue that will meet the needs of most of the people in the district. That was an honest answer.
Second, I tried to find out what his opponent stands for. This was a challenge. In his written campaign literature, I saw clichés and boilerplate promises — nothing that addresses our district. In campaign photographs I saw him stand with U.S. Rep. Pete Stauber. I didn’t find anything appealing that would convince me to vote for him.
Our district has been historically Democratic, promoting values that support people over profits, environment over business. It’s important for the DFL party to retain this seat and stay away from radical right-wing, anti-democratic, Trumpian policies. Radosevich is a local, longtime businessman, a member of this community who will actually represent it. Please vote for Pete on Nov. 8.
