Letters: Graham will bring new ideas to board

I am writing to urge voters to bring fresh energy to the Cloquet school board.

A review of candidate profiles as published in the Pine Knot News reveals the three incumbents are many years beyond having their own children in our schools. The two challengers, on the other hand, have children in our schools and are also presidents of their respective schools’ parent organizations. They know the issues facing our children, teachers and parents because they are deeply immersed in the day-to-day life of our schools, and therefore are uniquely qualified to help the district deal with emerging challenges.

I have known Jamie Graham and her family since our kids attended preschool together and can attest that she is just the person to bring new energy and ideas to the school board. Jamie has already demonstrated her commitment to our schools through her six years of service with Churchill Partners in Education. She is sensible, passionate, smart and hard-working and will always act in the best interest of our children and families.

Please vote for Jamie Graham for Cloquet school board.
