A hometown newspaper with a local office, local owners & lots of local news
Dakota Koski has a simple request for local residents: Don’t hang up. If the phone rings between Nov. 28 and Dec. 16 and it’s someone asking survey questions about underage substance abuse, it’s a legitimate survey company. The goal of the questions is to learn more about how adults in our community feel about underage substance abuse in the area. Survey calls are random and participation is voluntary.
As REACH director, Koski is one of many involved in a five-year grant aiming to tackle substance abuse, in part by uncovering “the positives” that already exist and promoting those choices for youth, especially when it comes to not using alcohol and other drugs.
For each completed survey, the Carlton County Drug Prevention Coalition will donate to a local charity or organization.
