The program focuses on exploring the mechanics of American government and politics. This year the American Legion Post 262 selected Leo Thill and Miigwan Tanner-Wostrel, and the Auxiliary selected Lauren Johnson and Hannah Sandman. American Legion Post 262 commander Steve Birkemeyer celebrated with Boys and Girls State attendees Miigwan Tanner-Wostrel, Leo Thill, Lauren Johnson, and Auxiliary president Penny Buran.
