Arvin Alfred Anderson, 83, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Feb. 2, 2023, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Arvin was born Aug. 23, 1939, to Arvid Wilfred Anderson and Lillian Erika Pearl Anderson at Waseca Memorial Hospital in southern Minnesota. He attended Waseca County country schools in District 48 (Otisco Township) and 35 (Woodville Township) and then attended Cromwell High School.
He married Bonnie Tomporowski, and they lived in Cromwell, where he was a dairy farmer until retiring in 2000. They then resided in Duluth. He was a technician for ABS, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and woodworking with diamond willow.
Arvin was preceded in death by his parents; brother Anthony Anderson; sister Yvonne Anderson; and brother-in-law David Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; brothers Eugene (JoAnn) Anderson and John (Cheryl) Anderson; sister Judy Johnson; children, Vance (Sharon) Anderson of Cromwell, Ellen Anderson of Cromwell, June Maldonado of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mark (Karen) Anderson of Cromwell, Todd (Amy) Fontaine of Warrensburg, Missouri, and Bryce (Edie) Fontaine of Duluth; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell.
