I caught one... oops

Emmaline Bennett was surprised twice last Friday during a Queen of Peace Catholic School program on ice fishing on Chub Lake - she caught the first fish and then, while admiring it, lost her grip on it. Middle school students were taking part in the weekly enrichment program, which provides them an opportunity to do and learn about things they might not normally do, including fishing, rock climbing, balancing a checkbook and budgeting, and cooking lunch for the whole school. On Friday, students used an auger to drill holes, set up a portable house, and a spearfishing house. Department of Natural Resources conservation officer Tony Elwell talked to the students about ice safety and invasive species. The day ended with a fish fry on the ice.
