The Tri-Community Food Shelf in Cromwell is participating in Minnesota FoodShare's March Campaign through April 9. According to its website, the March Campaign is the largest grassroots food and fund drive in the state, “bringing together organizations, businesses, faith communities, and individuals to help stock and support the capacity of nearly 300 food shelves.” Please consider helping out by donating to a cause that helps keep our residents and neighbors nourished.
The Villa Vista/Cardinal Court will be having their annual Good Friday worship services at 8:30 a.m. Friday, April 7. I will be leading worship with music, readings, and a message, followed by a lovely brunch. Everyone is invited to attend this event and share in God’s love with the residents, staff, family, and friends. “We love Him because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19.
Summer camp news: For any community children who would like to attend Bible Camp this summer at either Camp Vermillion or Camp Hiawatha, Bethany Lutheran has funds available to defray the cost. Camps take place in July, with day camps or week camps available for all age groups. Parents will pay the initial $100 registration fee, and Bethany will pay the remainder. The Women of Bethlehem ELCA are looking for wedding dresses for their annual Mother-Daughter Tea on May 13. Dresses can be brought to the church and or modeled at the tea. Contact Bonnie Goerts for more information. We will also be displaying wedding pictures, so check around for yours or for those of your parents, kids, etc.

Kindergarten Roundup, the day to find out about the 2023-24 kindergarten year, will be held at the Cromwell-Wright School from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 7.
As of April 1, the Clothing Depot in Cromwell will be raising its prices. Bags will now be $6, boots $3, adult size shoes $2, and coats $3 each. Children’s prices will remain the same.
Sascha Korpela was named to the Academic All-State team by the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association. She was also named to the All-State Honorable Mention team for her performance on the court. Congratulations, Sascha!
Congratulations to the Cromwell-Wright boys varsity basketball team for winning the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association Academic State Championship for Class A. The team's accomplishment was periodically displayed on the scoreboard at the Target Center during the state tournament last week. This is a high achievement, and we are proud of all your hard work on and off the court. Way to go, Cardinals!
Also, Congratulations to Cromwell alum Taya Hakamaki and the whole UMD women’s basketball team on making it to the NCAA finals in Dallas, Texas at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1 against Ashland of Ashland, Ohio. This is the first time the UMD women have made it to the national championship. Good luck.
