New CBD, THC store opens

Salute Dispensary, a health and wellness retail store for CBD and THC products — including beverages, gummies, tinctures, vapes and other products — opened Thursday, April 20 in the former Randall’s Heating & Cooling building at 902 Olympic Drive in Cloquet.

Co-owned by Josh Mynatt, Nick Montanari and Joey Cook, the opening comes nearly one year after the passing of HF 3595, a law that took effect in early July 2022, in which people in Minnesota can purchase up to 5 milligrams of THC per serving, limited to edibles and drinks specifically.

The THC used must be derived from hemp, not marijuana, and products can’t contain more than 0.3 percent THC.

The owners tout their “gummy portfolio” as a health and wellness tool.

“Many people are looking for alternatives and natural solutions to de-stress, enhance sleep, and live their best lives,” Mynatt said in a news release. “Our team has tested, evaluated, and curated a collection of the best products so that our clients don’t have to feel alone in selecting their products.”

To learn more about Salute Dispensary, the operators urged folks to stop by the Cloquet storefront or visit and shop online at http://www.salutegummies.com.

Salute joins two other businesses selling CBD and THC products in Cloquet: Lakeshore Tobacco Vapor in the Historic West End and Super One has an assortment of CBD and THC beverages for sale in its refreshments aisle.
