Obituary: Rollin Drew Martini

Rollin Drew Martini, 79, of Cloquet passed away from complications of Parkinson’s disease on Saturday, May 20, 2023 in Silver Bay. He was born to Alice (Mathison, Martini) Niemi and Roy Martini in Duluth, and grew up in the Big Lake area of Cloquet. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, and served for three years. He was stationed in Germany, where he met his wife, Sylvia. He had a long career as an accountant at Potlatch and manager of a credit union.

Rollin had a zest for life and was an avid outdoorsman, camping, hunting, and fishing out West and in Canada.

Family was a pillar of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 58 years, Sylvia; two daughters, Brenda Martini and Sharon (Dennis) Schultz; three grandchildren, Angela Martini, Alyssa Darr and Henry Schultz; two great-grandchildren, Jazmyn and Giselle Martini; and his brothers, Ronald Martini, Rodney Martini, and Errol Niemi and their families.

A celebration of life will be held July 29.
