Barnum Spring Fever Days are this weekend

Head to Barnum Spring Fever Days this weekend to find all kinds of fun. The three-day event kicks off today, Friday, June 9, with the annual steak fry 4-7 p.m. and fireworks after dusk. Check out the rodeo at the Carlton County Fairgrounds grandstand at 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.

Saturday highlights include a fishing contest at Hanging Horn Lake at 7 a.m., a free 5K run/walk at 8 a.m., a car show at the high school 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and the superb Spring Fever Parade at 11 a.m. (9:30 a.m. lineup at the fairgrounds). There's pie, beer, food, plus a petting zoo, corn hole competition, bingo and a pie eating contest throughout the day, followed by a family movie at 6 p.m. in the fairgrounds Dairy Barn. Find music that night at the Rugged Spruce golf club or the fairgrounds' Hartman Pavilion.

Sunday brings a golf scramble at Rugged Spruce in the morning and auto racing at noon in the grandstand.
