Obituary: Anthony J. Mullen

Anthony J. Mullen, 60, of St. Charles, Illinois and formerly of Cloquet, passed away after a long battle with cancer on May 26, 2023. He was born Aug. 5, 1962, in Cloquet. The family moved to Illinois circa 1975, returning to Cloquet and then moving to St. Charles, where Anthony graduated from high school. He attended the University of Illinois, where he met his wife, Yelda. Anthony worked in information technology for the mathematics department before retiring in July of 2022.

He is survived by his wife, Yelda; parents, Patricia and Jerome; siblings, Michael Andrew Mullen and Elizabeth Mullen Meseke; nephew Michael A. Mullen and niece Devin Meseke; and brother-in-law David Meseke. He was son-in-law to Nihaf and Bingul Aydin of Turkey, brother-in-law to Erol and Delilah Aydin, and uncle to Aleera and Lylah Aydin. Anthony is also survived by many cousins and other extended family of Cloquet.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 23 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Cloquet, with a luncheon to follow. Burial will be at the New Calvary Cemetery in Cloquet. Condolences may be offered at http://www.morganmemorialhome.com.
