Marlene Anne Ninteman, 85, of Carlton passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Inter-Faith Care in Carlton. Marlene was born on July 21, 1937, to Frank and Viola (Schmitz) Ninteman in Duluth. She grew up in Carlton, and lived in Carlton throughout her life. Marlene graduated from high school in 1955. Following high school, she did daycare and later worked as a seamstress for the Stearns manufacturing plant in Carlton for many years. Later in life, she moved to Villa Vista Assisted Living in Cromwell. In April, 2023, Marlene moved to Inter-Faith Care Center. Marlene enjoyed gardening flowers, collecting cookbooks, reading and listening to classical music. Marlene is survived by her brothers Francis (Monica) Ninteman of Brighton, Michigan, and Aloysius (Anita) Ninteman of Carlton; nieces, Julianne Ninteman of St. Paul, Darla (James) Welshons of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and James (Amy) Ninteman of Duluth; and great-nephew, Henry Welshons. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother.
Per Marlene’s request, no services will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet. Marlene’s family would like to thank the staff at Inter-Faith Care Center for the wonderful care they provided to Marlene.
