The Over the Hill Rangers band - Mick Heaser, Digger DeRusha, Davey Jokimaki, Ron Jokimaki - entertained in the park in Wright Saturday afternoon as adults caught up with each other in pockets of conversation, children lingered on the playground, and people watched softball and volleyball games.
How do you know it's Wrong Days in Wright? The softball rules. You ran to third base on a hit, you ran home from first base to score. It seemed the volleyball play was conventional. Both tournaments went all weekend.
Things started to go wrong in Wright on Friday, with a rummage sale and steak fry, games and a dance for kids, backwards bingo (ognib), and then fireworks. There was a medallion hunt Saturday morning, along with a parade. More games took place later in the afternoon - bean bag toss and cribbage - along with more music in the Big Top into the late evening.
