• In Kettle River, the fun begins with supper of hamburgers and hot dogs at 5 p.m. The police and fire department will have activities for the kids and friends and neighbors to talk to for adults.

• Head to the Esko fire station 5:30-7 p.m. Aug. 1 for a bubble show along with a free hot dog dinner and a chance to look at all the safety vehicles.

• People will gather at the City Park in Barnum 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1.
