Ina Blanch (Line) Jobe, 87, of Mahtowa, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, in her
home with family by her side. She was born Ja. 11, 1936, to Rufus and Hazel (Smith) Line in Cromwell. She went to school at Eagle Lake and Cromwell, graduating in 1955.
Ina married Marlin Jobe in 1956, together they raised six children in the Cromwell-Wright area until 1965, when they moved to a farm in Mahtowa.
Ina attended 4-H and later helped with Mahtowa’s 4-H club. She was a homemaker until her youngest child went to school. Working at Stearns in Carlton until it closed. Ina sold Avon and started working at the Nopeming nursing home until her retirement.
Ina is a longtime member of Salem Lutheran Church in Mahtowa. She served on the church board, was active with Ladies Aid and was a director for Thrivent.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roland
(Fran) Line and Jerry (Mary) Line; brothers-in-law, Richard Kedrowski and Carl
Olson.
She is survived by her children, Eddy Jobe, Marilyn (Dave) Acker, Harold (Nancy)
Jobe, Beverly Humpries, Carolyn (Gary) Guck and David (Carol) Jobe; 14
grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a 16th on the way in November;
brothers, Frank (Helen) Line, Donald (Judy) Line and John (Robin) Line; sisters,
Kathy Olson, Linda Kedrowski and Laurie (Jim) Conley; and by her beloved pet
cat, meow-meow.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sandy and Dex, the best
neighbors ever, for their helping with mom’s care.
A service took place Friday, Aug. 4 at Salem Lutheran Church in Barnum. Burial is at Mount Salem Cemetery.
