A hometown newspaper with a local office, local owners & lots of local news
It’s been a few weeks since I have been home due to my cancer treatments and colon infection. But I am home now and it feels good to be back here. I have a lot to catch up on, but day by day and hour by hour I will get things back in order. I am so thankful to all my friends and family who have helped me during this time. Now I am facing surgery and hopefully will have a full recovery in the coming weeks. This was definitely not the summer I was looking for back in May, but I am thankful I discovered the lump on my breast as early as I did.

This will be the first year in many years that I will not be at the Carlton County fair. I feel that I must take care of myself so I can be at my best before my upcoming surgery. I have heard that Covid is still around, and that’s the last thing I need to be exposed to. The fair runs through this weekend.
The Carlton County Retired Educators and ADK thank Lake Country Power Operation Round Up for the generous donation of $500 to buy school supplies for students who visit the Little Red School House this year. Thanks to all the volunteers who work at the school during the fair.
