Alda Lorraine Twite, 98, of Cloquet died peacefully Aug. 19, 2023 in Sunnyside Health Care in Cloquet. She was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Hammer, South Dakota to Elmer and Ellen Peterson.
She was raised in nearby Sisseton. Alda married Lyle Irving Twite in November 1951 in Webster, South Dakota. Together they made a wonderful home. She enjoyed being a mother and taking care of her family, church, and other people who came into her life. Alda worked for Pine Ridge Homes from 1980 to 1986. Alda was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for many years. She always loved helping others and was a part of the church's women's group. She was also a proud member of the birthday group "The Hungry 8." Alda was a Shaklee distributor for many years. Whenever folks would stop by to pick up their products, they would always have a cup of coffee, treats, and time to visit. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Alda will be missed by her sons, Kent, Richard and Timothy; daughter Myrna Alley; granddaughters, Corrinne Wagman, Angela Bowen and Kimberly Twite; grandsons, Eric Twite, Aaron Twite, Taylor Gustafson, Dane Alley and Reese Alley; great-granddaughters, Ava Luiten, Eloise Gordon, Harlow Dimitrious and Romy Bowen; great-grandsons, Jaxon Bowen, Jonas Gordon and River Bowen; and many nieces, nephews, and great friends.
