Shirlee M. Aho, 79, of Kettle River passed away Aug. 25, 2023, at Essentia Hospital in Moose Lake. She was born June 9, 1944, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the daughter of Arthur and Doris (Knickerbocker) Brill. Shirlee was united in marriage to Gordon A. Aho on Dec. 11, 1968. She loved to crochet, spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, and going on trips with Gordy. Shirlee was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Scanlon before moving to Chaska to be near her son. She also had been active with Job's Daughters in Cloquet with her daughter, Ronda.
Shirlee was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Fred Botsford; and a brother, Jeff Botsford. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Aho; children, Ron (Melissa King) Aho and Ronda (Steve Hanson) Aho; grandchildren, Ann Marie and Michael; two brothers, Tim (Lynn) Botsford and Tom (Karen) Botsford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Shirlee was scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet.
