Lee Lavamaki of Cloquet passed away Aug. 26, 2023. Lee was born July 4, 1985, in Cloquet and attended Cloquet schools.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Gayle Lavamaki; grandpa Emil R. Juntunen; Nick Mandoli Sr .; Jeff Proffit; and unborn baby in 2018.
Lee loved music, singing and playing his guitars. Most of all, he loved his fur babies. He had a song which he sang for every one of them, and they knew their songs. Lee loved to make people happy - he was funny and quirky, and will be missed by many.
Lee is survived by his partner of 19 years, Theresa; his family: Liz, Lori, Karen and Nick Jr; stepsons, Austin (Rachel) Golden and Chase (Kelsey Olson) Golden; very special grandchildren Nevaeh and Kingston and six stepgrandkids; very special and best friends Casey Dayton and Matt Olesiak; special aunt, Cherlyn Davis, numerous cousins, stepnieces, and a special stepnephew, Brock; and loving granddog, Biggie.
Lee was a donor and was able to save the lives of five people. That would have made him so happy. We are so proud of him.
A family celebration of life for Lee was planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 at Grace Church in Cloquet.
