Obituary: Troy Roger Getman

Troy Roger Getman, 53, of Cloquet passed away Sept. 13, 2023, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth. He was born on Dec. 7, 1969 in Onamia, Minnesota to David Getman and Dolores Johnson.

Troy worked in construction, mending metal, for KF Loosen from 1994 until 2002. He worked at Walmart for five years and Black Bear Casino Resort for more than 10 years. He was a dedicated volunteer with the Culver Fire Department for 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, biking, snowmobiling and working on small projects, and he especially loved helping others.

He was preceded in death by his father, David LeRoy Getman, and stepfather, Joseph Conrad Johnson.

Troy is survived by his mother, Dolores, and brothers, Terry Allan Olson and Brian Alexander Getman.
