Dale John Aho, 47, of Kettle River passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, at his home. Dale was born on April 15, 1976, to John and Geralyn Aho in Cloquet. He and Kristy were high school sweethearts and have been together since 1993. They were married in Carlton on Sept. 21, 2001. Dale enjoyed logging with his family business since he was 12 years old. Dale and Kristy have four wonderful children that he loved with all his heart. Dale was a loving husband and father.
Dale took pride in everything he did. He was an extremely hard-worker. He loved his family. He recently got into racing and loved working on race cars with his boys. He was extremely proud of them and his girls, who recently started and began running their own business. Dale loved traveling out west to the Black Hills, where he had planned to build a retirement home and spend time exploring the hills. Dale enjoyed building things, running equipment, being outdoors, trucking, logging and being amongst family and friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, John; mother-in-law, Kathy; uncle Monty; and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kristy; children, Miranda, Justin, Avery and Jacob; special granddaughter, Stella; mother, Geralyn Aho; brothers, Scott (Wannisa) Aho and Tony (Liz) Aho; aunt, Robyn (Boyd) Larson; uncle Carl (Sandy) Aho; and cousins, extended family, friends and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
Visitation: 11:30 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service Saturday, Oct. 14 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 5660 Highway 210, Cromwell. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.
