Alas, there was snow on the ground before Halloween this year. We sure have had a great fall and the color has been spectacular. Now, the bright gold on the tamaracks and the white of the snow are making our landscapes and drives even more beautiful.
The Hunters Supper is 4-7 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 3, at the Cromwell Park Pavilion.
The Red Bird Bazaar is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the school in Cromwell.
The Beehive Community Club will have an all-you-can-eat mojakka dinner 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, 6 miles west of Mahtowa on County Road 4. Proceeds will go toward the Barnum-Cromwell-Wright scholarship fund.
Congratulations to Emaleigh Olesiak, seen here in an earlier race this year, who placed third in the section cross country meet and is headed to State on Saturday. Way to go, Em.
Parent-teacher conferences will be held at the school Nov. 8-9.
Cromwell-Wright School will host its annual Veterans Day program beginning at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, in the gym. Veterans can come at 1 p.m. for goodies in the cafeteria. The public is welcome to the program.
The Cromwell Catholic Church will host its annual turkey bingo at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Cromwell Park Pavilion. Raffle baskets, free popcorn, and lunch. Donations will be accepted. Cost is $10 for 20 games.
There is yoga at 11 a.m. Mondays at the Pavilion.
Ruby’s Pantry needs plastic bags for food distribution. You can drop them off in the Bethany Church lobby in Ruby’s collection bin.
The Clothing Depot in Cromwell wraps up its coat and sweater giveaway Saturday. The Clothing Depot is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The Bethany Lutheran Church bazaar and auction begins at 9 .m. Saturday, Nov. 11. There will be a coffee bar, white elephant items, a bake sale and an auction. The funds from the bazaar go toward helping the church fund missions.
Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour on Saturday night.
