Albert Jasper Holm, 86, of Carlton passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. Albert was born to Albert and Lucille Holm on Feb. 4, 1937. He was raised in Camanche, Iowa, graduating in 1955, joining the U.S. Air Force shortly after. Albert married Florence Elaine in Carlton in 1970.
He worked as the transportation supervisor for the Carlton school district. Belonging to the Bethesda Lutheran Church, Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club, and Friday morning Bible study kept him busy. Albert enjoyed sports, but his favorite times were those spent with the grandkids.
Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Holm; parents, Albert and Lucille Holm; three brothers; Baby Boy Theisen; and many others.
Albert will be missed by Chuck (Barb) Goad, Bobbie Johnson, Craig (Des) Holm, Cheryl (Todd) Schilla, Kristin and Chad Goad, Nichole and Robert Theisen, Brittany and Lindsey Dahl-Holm, Cody Jacoby, Aaron Schilla, Callie Holm, and many great-grandkids, nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Noon until the 1 p.m. service on Sunday, Nov. 19, at Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet. A luncheon will follow the service, with burial at Silverbrook Cemetery after the luncheon, in Wrenshall.
