Stuart Lee Green, 63, passed away Nov. 1, 2023, at his home in Cloquet with his loving wife and children by his side. He was born Feb. 7, 1960, in Cloquet, the son of Norman Jr. and Ramona Green. Stuart grew up in Cloquet and attended Cloquet public schools. He recently retired from Community Memorial Hospital after 18 years of service as a maintenance engineer.
On May 7, 1988, he married the love of his life, Barbara Hanson, at Zion Lutheran Church in Cloquet. They enjoyed 35 years together. In 1989 they welcomed their daughter, Trina, and in 1992 their son, Joshua.
Stuart had a passion for saunas at a young age and built his own after he built his home. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Stuart was a wonderful husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Green Jr .; cousin Steven Green; father- and mother-in-law, Oris and Adeline Hanson; brother-in-law Kenneth Hanson; sister-in-law JoAnn Wargin; his grandparents; and many uncles.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter Trina Johnson (Brandon); son Joshua Green (Tiffany Wold); grandsons, Sawyer and Kelvin Johnson; mother, Ramona Green; sister, Karina Polo (Marco); aunts, Jan Green, Peggy Walker and Ardith Paarni; sister-in-law Diane Hollenbeck (Bill); brother-in-law Duane Hanson (Lynn); many nieces and nephews whom he cared for dearly; cousins; and many friends.
Stuart’s family would like to thank his wonderful friends, Cindy and Jon Ketola, Roland Olson, and neighbors for everything they did for Stuart during his illness and final days. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Per Stuart’s request, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held 1-4 p.m. Feb. 10 at Big Lake Golf Resort, 780 Cary Road, Cloquet.
